The Hammond at The Oliviers

Sunday 2nd April brought us the 2023 Olivier Awards Ceremony and we’re excited to have had a number of members of The Hammond Alumni at the forefront of the event. Former Professional Diploma in Musical Theatre student Sharif Afifi was nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical for his part in the Donmar Warehouse’s stunning production of The Band’s Visit.

Furthermore, Ross Dorrington, another Professional Musical Theatre graduate performed live with the cast of Newsies UK, currently mid-run at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre. You can watch the video opposite…you won’t have trouble spotting Ross, he’s the one mid-backflip on the cover photo 😍

We couldn’t be prouder of the successes of The Hammond Alumni, and hope the tradition of Hammond representation at The Olivier Awards continues for years to come.
