Music
We offer students a stimulating, educational and creative musical
environment. The state of the art Music department includes
individual practice rooms, an extensive range of instruments,
AppleMac Computer Suite plus a well equipped recording studio
offering professional facilities.
Regular concerts, given both within school and in the community, maintain the high reputation of the department.
Specialist music students will receive an enriched music
curriculum with many opportunities to perform and work alongside
others of a similar standard. This also includes working with
talented students from other areas of the Performing Arts helping
to further develop their talents.
The music course includes a weekly music class and vocal training lessons, plus theory and performance skills, involvement in the School's music groups and peripatetic lessons in instrument or voice.
Music students will have a high level of musical talent and the potential to reach an exceptionally high standard of performance and musical knowledge.
