Drama Entry to The Hammond School
The Hammond School offers a specialist Drama Course for children from Year 7 and invites applicants from talented boys and girls. Entrants will follow the curriculum with academic pupils as well as having an enhanced timetable of Drama in small groups and workshops.

Lower School Course 11-16
In addition to the full curriculum, the course consists of a one and a half hour Drama session within the school timetable, extra-curricular sessions to be held after school, a one hour vocal training class after school and enrolment for The Hammond Theatre Arts Course held at Hoole Bank on Saturday mornings.
All Drama students become members of the hb2 Theatre Company. The company is involved in an annual theatre production and a community outreach project, which we tour in the summer term.
Applicants will be expected to have an interest in Drama and the Arts although previous experience is not essential. They will be required to come for audition and to sit the Entrance Examination.
Successful applicants (entry into Years 7-10) will have:
- a high level of interest in drama
- the potential to reach a high standard of performance
All students will be expected to:
- sit the school academic entrance exam
- attend a drama audition and take part in an improvising session with an informal interview
Course content:
- weekly lessons in drama
- weekly vocal training classes
- weekly lessons in music and dance
- Saturday morning at Hammond Theatre Arts
